The Nantong–Suzhou–Jiaxing–Ningbo High-speed Railway (often referred to as the Tong-Yong High-Speed Railway) is a major infrastructure undertaking in China. It links Nantong and Suzhou in Jiangsu Province with Jiaxing and Ningbo in Zhejiang Province. As an essential component of China’s “Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal” high-speed rail network, this coastal corridor plays a critical role in the transportation system of the Yangtze River Delta urban cluster.

The line begins at Nantong West Station, crosses the Yangtze River over the Hutong Yangtze River Bridge, runs through Suzhou and Jiaxing, then spans the 29.158 km-long Hangzhou Bay Cross-Sea Railway Bridge before reaching Ningbo. The main line has an overall operational length of about 310.027 kilometers, including 300.954 kilometers of newly constructed track. With a design speed of 350 km/h, the railway has 11 stations and connects to the Shanghai–Kunming High-speed Railway via the Suzhou–Hangzhou and Shanghai–Ningbo links, allowing direct travel from Ningbo to Shanghai through Jiaxing and from Suzhou to Hangzhou.

Zhongji Luyuan has teamed up with China Railway Seventh Group to establish a cutting-edge intelligent rebar processing center that minimizes manual labor by incorporating advanced smart equipment and automated transfer systems. This modern facility is crucial in meeting the construction needs of the Tong-Yong High-Speed Railway project.

Key highlights of the facility include:

  1. A four-line sawing and threading production line that can be operated by just one worker, delivering high efficiency with minimal labor requirements.

  2. China’s first fully automated rebar cage welding workstation, featuring:
      (1) Automatic loading and alignment of longitudinal bars
      (2) Automatic correction of misalignments and precise bar distribution
      (3) Automated welding of longitudinal and spiral bars
      (4) Automated demolding and removal of completed cages

This complete production line operates with just 1–2 operators, significantly reducing labor intensity, enhancing efficiency, and improving safety compared to conventional rebar processing methods.

The system employs servo-controlled computers to precisely position the main bars and ensure accurate cage alignment. It is also equipped with memory functions that store and retrieve layout data as needed, boosting repeatability and production flexibility.

Additionally, all equipment comes with information interface ports, making the entire system fully compatible with digital management platforms and ready for seamless smart factory integration.
