Recently, the intelligent
steel cage processing and distribution center of the Gonghua Second General Contracting Department of Gansu Gongfa Engineering Co., Ltd. was officially put into use. Among them, the efficient operation of the core equipment - the steel sawing, threading and polishing production line - has attracted industry attention. With a total area of 2,100 square meters, the center has a dedicated area for automatic
steel bar threading and polishing. The deployed automatic sawing, threading and polishing production line for main reinforcements is 31 meters long and 12 meters wide, covering an area of 372 square meters. It realizes the full-process automatic operation of main reinforcements for steel cages from raw material feeding to sawing, threading and polishing, completely changing the inefficient predicament of the traditional processing mode.
"The traditional steel bar processing requires 3-4 workers to operate sawing, threading and polishing equipment separately, and can process at most 15 main reinforcements per hour. Moreover, the processing quality is greatly affected by workers' skills," said the on-site person in charge of Gansu Gongfa Engineering Co., Ltd. "After putting the steel sawing, threading and polishing production line into use, only one operator is needed to monitor the equipment operation, and 50 main reinforcements can be processed per hour, which is more than twice the efficiency. More importantly, the equipment accurately controls the sawing length error within ±1mm through the numerical control system, the thread profile fullness reaches more than 99.5%, and the end of the polished steel bar is smooth without burrs, fully meeting the quality requirements of high-standard projects such as bridge pile foundations."
It is understood that the production line has not only made breakthroughs in efficiency and precision, but also has strong collaborative adaptability. The equipment deployed by Gansu Gongfa can supply main reinforcements to 2 steel cage production lines at the same time, and form a seamless connection with equipment such as gantry cranes and steel cage rolling welders in the workshop, building an intelligent production
chain from steel bar processing to steel cage forming. This integrated operation mode has increased the daily output of steel cages of the center from 8-10 sets in the traditional mode to 25-30 sets, effectively ensuring the construction progress of local expressway and bridge projects.
